Owner – Yoga for You
Training: I started teaching yoga at the YMCA in 2008 where I began my education through YogaFit Training Systems and received my 200 RYT certification in 2011. Later, I studied Anusara yoga and completed another 200 RYT training through the Anusara School of Hatha Yoga. I continue to attend workshops and love to visit other yoga studios to learn various yoga styles and weave them into the classes I teach.
Classes: I like teaching Beginners Yoga, Hot Yoga, and Level 1 Yoga with a focus on alignment. I also bring in meditation to my classes when time allows.
Why I teach yoga: I love teaching people about yoga, how to gain awareness from the poses, and embrace their practice. I will break down the poses, add modifications and teach about the essence of yoga so that every “body” can enjoy their yoga journey.
Inspirations: The students and the other instructors at the studio are my inspiration everyday. I learn from them and enjoy their association with the studio. Bonnie Torrance was my first yoga instructor back in 2000 and was the inspiration for me to continue my practice. She was my mentor once I started to teach and was instrumental in the evolution of Yoga for You.
